Garrett Warner defeats a Jumper Special field of sixteen riders and a jump off group of seven with ‘Dually’

Beautiful Brookside Show Park in Elk Grove, CA played host to the Let’s Show Beach Party Show last week. With flamingos and tiki torches galore, Saturday culminated with the $7,500 Flamingo Jumper Special where course designer Chris Collman of Arizona challenged the field of 16 with solid course that tested both horse and rider.

In the end, Garrett Warner and Dually claimed the lead of the seven rider jump off with a .305 margin to take home a bronze trophy, compliments of the Bronze Pony.

Let’s Show would like to thank Bob at the Bronze Pony, as well as the crew at Elk Grove Milling for their gift basket and certificates that went to the Reserve Champion of the Jumper Special.

Sacramento Area Hunter Jumper Association (SAHJA)

The Sacramento Area Hunter Jumper Association was founded in 1987 by a small group of riders and trainers. Their purpose was to develop a local association dedicated to supporting, educating, and introducing beginning and intermediate riders and horses to the horse show environment, and to provide a consistent framework for local shows. SAHJA members have the opportunity to compete for year-end awards.

Over the years SAHJA has continued to meet its goals by setting standards for shows and show judges similar to those of the US equestrian organization.

SAHJA’s show season runs from the third week of January through the last week of November. During the season, riders and horses registered with the Association have the opportunity to compete at SAHJA sanctioned shows for points in 17 different divisions, and for equitation medals in three different divisions. All classes are designed to give entry level and intermediate riders and horses the opportunity to learn and build confidence in their skills and preparation for riders desiring to continue on to larger association rated shows. SAHJA shows are also an ideal place to learn traditional horse show etiquette and procedures.
