Polo wraps are long (up to 12 feet) fabric strips that we wrap around a horse’s lower legs to support tendons and ligaments and protect them from injury if he hits himself while schooling. Even if your horse rarely has this problem, polos are a good idea when you begin more demanding work–such as lateral movements–in which he’s more likely to overreach or otherwise bump himself.
